Imagine this: You walk up to a doctor and say “I would like a girl, her hair to be blond, and eyes to be blue. Please hold back the chubby cheeks and the freckles.” He replies “I’ll take care of that order, will that be debit, credit, cash or check?” Put it on my Discover card you respond.
Sound crazy right? Maybe even absurd. According to a CNN.com you can have that option. Whats crazier is according to The Center for Fertility and Gynecology in Los Angeles, California, doctors are now nearly 100 % accurate when switching the X or Y chromosomes.
Doctors are saying it may be good because some males get diseases that women don’t or can’t get and vice versa. Another reason it might be good is for family balancing.
You know what I think is the best reason? NOTHING, THIS IS A CRAZY IDEA!
Why can’t people just be happy with the child(ren) God BLESSES them with? And if you really DEFORM your child by changing its gender, is it really a child, or is it your robot/toy?
Lets think about China which allows parents only one child. Most of the parents elect to have boys. The consequence is ”in parts of China there is a 20% excess of young men. These young men will remain single and will be unable to have families in societies where marriage is regarded has virtually universal, and social status and acceptance depend, in large part, on being married and creating a new family,” from the Journal Signifigance Vol. 6, issue 1, page 13.
Technology is getting scarier by the minute. This sound like a chapter from the book “Brave New World.”

After recieving a comment from a good friend Marques, I have removed my reference to China having a larger population of homosexuality due to an excess of boys. This idea is only an assumption. I understand your point about the sacredness of child bearing and; fully believe reproductive technology has the possibility of becoming very unethical. However, saying that China now has a homosexuality problem sounds like an assumption. A few pastors predict that, but I have never seen evidence supporting that theory.
Very good point, and well taken. I will take out that point about China immediatley. It was just an assumption.
